Adam Scorgie: Visionary Canadian Filmmaker Behind Award-Winning Documentaries
From humble beginnings to international acclaim, Adam Scorgie has established himself as one of Canada’s most dynamic and influential filmmakers. As the founder of Edmonton-based Score G Productions, Scorgie has spearheaded the creation of over $18 million in unscripted content since 2005, producing award-winning and record-breaking documentaries that inspire, engage, and captivate audiences worldwide.
Known for his relentless work ethic, visionary leadership, and ability to balance a demanding career with being a devoted family man and father of three, Scorgie has collaborated with industry giants such as Joe Rogan, Michelle Rodriguez, Sir Richard Branson, Snoop Dogg, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Rolling Stone Magazine, and Universal Pictures to develop and release projects that leave a lasting impact.
Scorgie’s dedication to storytelling is exemplified in his critically acclaimed films, many of which spotlight triumph over adversity. His notable works include Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo, which tells the extraordinary life story of actor Danny Trejo; Bisping, which chronicles the journey of UFC legend Michael Bisping; and Breaking Olympia: The Phil Heath Story, a gripping exploration of the seven-time Mr. Olympia’s rise to bodybuilding greatness. His upcoming projects include Thunder: The Life and Death of Arturo Gatti (2025), exploring the controversial death of the Montreal-born boxing champion.
Since its founding, Score G Productions has evolved from a small, passionate team into a global leader in documentary filmmaking. The company specializes in creating thought-provoking films spanning sports, culture, and social issues, with the goal of engaging audiences and inspiring meaningful conversations.
With over $18 million in produced content and a reputation for crafting impactful, culturally significant stories, Scorgie and his team continue to raise the bar in unscripted filmmaking. Their work not only resonates deeply with audiences but also encourages people to believe in their potential and the power of storytelling. This is a Canadian success story.
Thunder the most recent film just recently went up on iTunes in Canada and TVA (French Canada) after airing on Super Channel and will be releasing in the US in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately we don’t have a hard date with Amazon because Amazon has now made it where you don’t get to talk to anyone and are beholden to Amazon just saying “it’s in the Que being reviewed” so it could come out any day now.
