I travelled to the island of Crete in Greece in June 2023. I was told by a client, Dr. Nadia Rizzo, that the resort at The Cretan Dream Resort & Spa in Chania, Crete, Greece was the perfect place to travel with kids. Well, I must say I was curious, so I went!

I travelled with my two kids under 6 at the time on the long journey of 14 hours. We flew Air Canada and for the final destination from Athens to Crete we flew with Sky Express. I must say the Sky Express flight was the treat. Better yet, the airline offered us a last minute coupon for a car rental in Athens on the flight back, worth noting! My kids loved how the flight crew was dressed and they loved the snacks on board. The resort had a shuttle pick us up and take us to the hotel.

We got there and had the kids settle in right away. They were quick to offer us a snack for the kids upon arrival. Super thoughtful. We stayed in a luxury suite with a private pool that the kids also loved. The beds in these rooms were exceptional. They quickly took to loving the pools, the breakfast bar and the afternoon siestas! My kids played so hard in the morning that by afternoon they would both nap to regain energy. I love how my kids took to the locals and became best friends with the General Manager of The Cretan Dream Resort & Spa. We took the kids into town at the Chania port which was about 6km away and we also spent a lot of time at Marathi Beach. My kids cannot wait to go back and I can positively say that was the healthiest I’ve ever seen them. I think the organic and natural food they consumed at The Cretan Dream was very important, as well as the beautiful sunshine and plentiful rest.
